The country’s army has been disoriented by the rebels in Syria. The army has been clashing with the rebels for the past few days. More than two hundred people including the army were killed. In addition, the rebels claimed to take control of Aleppo, the second largest city in Syria.

This information was reported in a BBC report on Saturday (November 30).

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a US-based watchdog, said the rebels had captured most of Aleppo, the second-largest city. The agency said the rebels had taken control of more than half of the city on Friday evening.

According to the report, this is the biggest rampage by the rebels against the Syrian government in the last few years. In 2016, the country’s army forcibly ousted President Bashar al-Assad. Then the rebels reached Aleppo for the first time.

The video was posted on a channel belonging to the Syrian rebel group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). It showed rebels in cars inside the city. Geolocation of these videos has been verified by BBC. It shows that it is an area in the western part of Aleppo, Syria.Government forces said they recaptured several towns in Aleppo and Idlib provinces. On Wednesday, the rebel group HTS and allied forces attacked and captured these areas.

Pro-democracy protests have been going on in the country since 2011. After the suppression of this protest, a civil war situation was created in the country. It killed half a million people. Meanwhile, armed groups opposed to President Bashar al-Assad took advantage of the unrest to seize large areas.Syrian and Russian aircraft carried out at least 23 strikes on Aleppo on Friday, the Observatory said. At least 255 people were killed. It is the deadliest incident in the conflict between rebels and pro-government forces in Syria.
