Reversal Reporter,

Less than a week after the signing of the ceasefire agreement, Israel attacked Lebanon again. At least nine people were killed in the attack on two villages in southern Lebanon on Monday evening, the country’s health ministry said.

However, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) alleged that Hezbollah was the first to attack an Israeli army post in violation of the agreement. They said that in response to the attack, counter-attacks were carried out targeting some of the armed group’s infrastructure.

Hezbollah, however, has denied such accusations of Israel. They said Israel was the first to violate the cease-fire agreement by striking Lebanon again.Hezbollah said the mortar attack targeted an Israeli army post as a “defensive precaution” in response to the casualties and damage caused by the attack.

The Israel Defense Forces reported that there were no casualties in Hezbollah’s attack on Mount Dove in Israel. However, when the ceasefire deal was announced last week, Israel’s prime minister said his country would not hesitate to retaliate if Hezbollah violated the deal’s terms. After that, the incident of counter attack on Monday has created a conflict situation again.
