However, nothing specific has been said about when exactly Putin will visit India. Citing the Kremlin, the Indian broadcaster CNN-News18 reported that Putin may visit India in early 2025 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Kremlin official Yuri Ushakov also confirmed that Putin will visit India in early 2025. He said, there is an agreement between our leaders that they will meet once a year. This is our turn. We have received Modi’s invitation.
According to the report, Modi-Putin met on the sidelines of various international meetings. There is regular communication between them. They talk on the phone almost every month.
Narendra Modi went on a two-day visit to Moscow in July this year. Modi then went to the Russian city of Kazan for the BRICS summit in October.
Last month, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted Russia’s deep bilateral ties with India. Dmitry Peskov then mentioned Putin’s visit to India. However, he did not reveal the date of Putin’s visit to India but said that it will be announced soon.
