Five soldiers have been killed and one seriously injured in a military helicopter crash in Turkey.
Two military helicopters collided in the southwest of the country on Monday (December 9) local time, causing one to crash, but the second helicopter landed safely.
The crash occurred during a routine training flight, Turkish private broadcaster NTV reported, citing the provincial governor, Abdullah Erin. One soldier is being treated in hospital with serious injuries.
A brigadier general was among the dead. He was reportedly in charge of the aviation school.
It was not immediately known what caused the two helicopters to collide. The governor said an investigation into the incident has been launched.
