BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will travel to London for advanced treatment by the end of this month. For this, the upcoming Muktijoddha rally scheduled for December 21 has been postponed.
Muktijoddha Dal central president Ishtiaq Aziz Ulfat and BNP Chairperson’s personal physician Professor AZM Zahid confirmed the matter to the media on Thursday (December 19).
Ishtiaq Aziz Ulfat said, “Madam Begum Khaleda Zia’s physical condition is not suitable for attending the rally. The rally has been postponed as Madam will not be able to go. She is scheduled to go abroad for better treatment. This rally will be held when she returns from abroad. And I hope Madam will be there.”
Meanwhile, BNP Chairperson’s personal physician Professor AZM Zahid Hossain said, Khaleda Zia is undergoing treatment at her Gulshan residence under close observation of doctors.
Khaleda Zia is preparing to go to London and then the United States this month for better treatment. At the same time, she is also scheduled to perform Umrah in Saudi Arabia. Accordingly, visa work has been completed on her passport to go to the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir informed the press conference at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan on Thursday morning that the Freedom Fighters Rally has been postponed.
He said, Khaleda Zia has been ill since Tuesday night. For this reason, the December 21 Muktijoddha rally has been postponed as per the advice of doctors.
The BNP Chairperson was scheduled to participate in the Muktijoddha rally on December 21. However, the Muktijoddha Dal has postponed the event due to her physical illness.
It is learnt that the event will be organized only after Khaleda Zia recovers after completing her treatment in London.
