Reversal News Desk,

The government has cancelled the passports of 75 people including Sheikh Hasina for their involvement in the July massacre, said Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, deputy press secretary to the chief advisor.

He made this statement at a press briefing on contemporary issues at the Foreign Service Academy on Tuesday (January 7) afternoon. He also said that the passports of 22 more people have been canceled due to their involvement in disappearances and murders.

In response to journalists’ questions, Azad Majumder said that the Indian government is aware of this matter and travel documents have been issued for that. The Passport Department has informed us that the passports of 75 people have been canceled. However, we do not have the details or information about whose passports have been canceled.

He also said that there is no legal provision for having more than one passport. If a passport is canceled, only the diplomatic passport is canceled.
